The Tennessee Titans became the second NFC South team to fire their head coach on Tuesday morning, parting ways with longtime leader Mike Vrabel on the heels of a disappointing 6-11 campaign across Tennessee sports betting. Vrabel departs the Music City after posting a 54-45 (.545) record over six seasons with the franchise, including three straight postseason berths between 2019 and 2021.
His ultimate downfall came when Tennessee failed to post a winning season in 2022 or 2023, going 13-21 over that stretch, with this year’s .353 win percentage being an unsultry caper on Vrabel’s run with the club. Now that the dust has settled and GM Ran Carthon has a decision on his hands, BetTennessee.com broke down some odds on which coaching candidate will replace Vrabel in Nashville. When next season rolls around, keep tabs on this site for the Titans playoff chances under the new coach.

Who Will Replace Mike Vrabel as Next Titans Head Coach?
The leading candidates in Nashville are all hot targets for the six NFL franchises that have fired their head coaches over the last few days or weeks. That list includes Houston Texans first-year offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, who led an offense spearheaded by a rookie quarterback (C.J. Stroud) to the franchise’s first playoff berth in four years this fall.
Slowik (+350) beat out a host of other red-hot NFL coordinators to be our No. 1 pick for the Titans, including Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales (+600), Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith (+700), Baltimore Ravens OC Todd Monken, Cincinnati Bengals OC Brian Callahan and Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson, all of whom are listed at +1000 to replace Vrabel in Nashville.
Potential longshot candidates for the Titans include current Washington Commanders and former Kansas City Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy and New England Patriots assistant coach Jerod Mayo, who are listed at +1200 apiece.
One way or another, Tennessee will need to find an heir apparent to the second head coach in the team’s Nashville era (1997-present) to take the Titans to multiple playoff appearances, alongside Jeff Fisher, who reached the postseason six times in 17 years with the franchise between 1994 and 2010.
