The Tennessee Titans will officially pick No. 1 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, creating a surplus of options for the organization to consider ahead of April.
With the Titans’ playoff chances dead in the water, we turn our focus to who they could pick as coach Brian Callahan enters Year 2 in Nashville.
Of note: The Titans in early January fired GM Ran Carthon after just two seasons in which the team posted a 9-25 record. A new GM will have the call for whichever direction the Titans go in this year's draft.

Now that the Titans’ trying season has ended, it’s worth wondering who the AFC South stalwart will pick, especially considering how Tennessee hasn’t picked this high since selecting Marcus Mariota out of Oregon second in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Looking back, Tennessee has never had the top pick in the draft since the franchise relocated from Houston to Nashville in 1997, with the club’s last No. 1 overall pick being the 1978 event that landed the then-Houston Oilers legendary running back Earl Campbell.
That move panned out for the club, as Campbell went on to reach the Pro Football Hall of Fame after galloping through NFL defenses to the tune of 9,407 yards and 74 touchdowns in 115 games, posting an approximate value of 67 for the franchise.
Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders?
This year, we expect Tennessee to go after a quarterback with the top pick, picking between former Incarnate Word, Washington State and Miami gunslinger Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders.
Right now, we have Ward as the slight favorite to go No. 1 overall, at +110, while Sanders is on his heels at +125 after throwing for 7,364 yards and 64 touchdowns with the Buffaloes over the last two years.
Throw in reigning Heisman Trophy winner and Sanders’ teammate in Boulder, Travis Hunter, at +1750 and a pair of longshots in Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter and Michigan Wolverines defensive tackle Mason Graham and you have the full rundown of our No. 1 pick odds board right now for the Titans.
For now, though, we’re going with the man that threw for more than 11,000 yards and 87 touchdowns across three seasons in Pullman and Miami, with Ward being our top pick to go to Tennessee with the first pick of the 2025 NFL Draft.

With the lackluster play from both Will Levis and Mason Rudolph this past season, the Titans need to find a new signal-caller for coach Brian Callahan's offense. Options in the draft like Ward and Sanders will be available, though the team could also opt to pursue veterans like Kirk Cousins, Jimmy Garoppolo or Daniel Jones.
