The Titans Love The Month of October
For the last five years, the Tennessee Titans have been a top-10 team in the month of October, with a 12-7 record and a .632 win percentage. In fact, the Titans haven’t lost a game in October since Oct. 2, 2021 — rattling off eight straight October wins since then.
They’ll look to keep the fall vibes going strong at home next week against the Cincinnati Bengals. The health of QB Joe Burrow will be a major storyline in the lead-up to that contest. The 2020 first-overall pick has been battling a calf injury since the pre-season. With Burrow’s status up in the air, the Titans are -1.5 home favorites on BetMGM Sportsbook Tennessee.
Next up, the Titans will pay a visit to division rival Colts in Indianapolis on Oct. 8, where they’ll most likely be facing rookie QB Anthony Richardson, who missed Sunday’s game with a concussion. Should Richardson remain sidelined, the Colts' starter under center will be Gardiner Minshew. The backup QB nearly cost the Colts a win Sunday by stepping out of the end zone and giving up a safety. Thankfully for Colts fans, Minshew managed to salvage the day with an overtime victory.
In Week 6, Tennessee will be traveling across the pond to London, where they’ll face off against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. The game is set to be played at the Northumberland Development Project, the home pitch of Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League. Don’t forget to set your alarm clocks for this one — kick off with be at 8:30 a.m. Central time. It will be interesting to see where the Titans playoff chances land after this game.
After a bye in Week 7, the Tennessee Titans' final October game of the 2023 season will be at home against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 29. Despite a disappointing loss to Detroit, the Falcons have shown big improvement in 2023, led by No. 8 overall pick Bijan Robinson. The rookie’s already amassed 315 all-purpose yards from scrimmage through his first three games.
Heading into October, fans can back the Titans Super Bowl odds at +7500 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
