Top 10 2024 Halloween Costumes for Tennessee

We are officially into the heart of Spooky Season, where visions of pumpkin spiced lattes dance about and bagged candy becomes a hot commodity for a brief while, which begs the question of which costumes residents of the Volunteer State are going with in 2024.  

This year, it seems like a handful of trusty favorites are among the leaders in the Halloween costume search interest race, with customary classics such as a good old-fashioned pirate, clown and princess leading the way in Tennessee online.  

To see what Tennessee locals are planning to wear for Halloween this year, BetTennessee.com paused its typical Tennessee sports betting coverage and used Google Trends to find the top 10 most searched Halloween costumes. The search period was filtered to a 30-day search period within Tennessee on October 2, 2024.

What Are Tennessee Residents Searching for This Halloween?

Based on the digital tea leaves known as search interest scores, we can assess that Tennessee residents are planning on going with an old time classic for Halloween this year, with the leaders when it comes to totals being pirate outfits (35 search interest score), followed by clown and princess outfits, with scores of 32 apiece.  

Throw in witch costumes (31 search interest score) and the comic book classic, Spider-Man (30 search interest score) and you have the upper end of the Tennessee Halloween costume list for 2024, while fellow animation star Batman (29 search interest score) and Addams Family stalwart Wednesday Addams (24 search interest score) are the next closest statewide.  

Rounding out the Halloween list in Tennessee this year are other classic costumes like a ghost costume (20 search interest score), dressing up as a cowboy (17 search interest score) or doing your best Margot Robbie impression by going as Barbie (14 search interest score).  

While we are still more than four weeks away from the spookiest day of the calendar year, it is safe to say that Tennessee residents are already hard at work prepping for their Halloween costume in 2024 (based on search interest scores, at least).
