For the Titans playoff chances to improve heading into next season, more on-field discipline will be a must, as the team showed some signs of immaturity under then-first year coach Brian Callahan.
No number shows that better than the nearly $200,000 Titans players paid in fines last season, with one player in particular donating a chunk of his salary to the NFL league office on Park Avenue.
Using data from Spotrac.com, BetTennessee.com examined Tennessee Titans player fines from last season. We identified the player with the highest total and calculated what they could have purchased with that money.
Rank | Player | Total Fines |
1 | L’Jarius Sneed | $140,969 |
T-2 | Sebastian Joseph-Day | $16,883 |
T-2 | Jeffery Simmons | $16,883 |
4 | Daryl Worley | $6,722 |
5 | Cedric Gray | $5,576 |
T-6 | Jack Gibbens | $5,472 |
T-6 | Mike Brown | $5,472 |
8 | Keondre Coburn | $5,083 |
9 | James Williams | $4,540 |
It's safe to say L'Jarius Sneed has always had a tension-filled relationship with NFL officials, as the 28-year-old cornerback likes to play with an edge - with a few verbal jabs thrown in to boot.
Sneed by a longshot led the Titans in fines last season, paying north of $140,000 to the league for a handful of infractions. Sneed had several fines for taunting, including $14,069 for taunting in a Week 6 loss against the Colts, the same game he gave up the game-winning touchdown to Michael Pittman Jr.
Keep an eye on Titans jersey sales for Sneed as well, as he somehow managed to take the fines title last season ... despite only appearing in five games. The Titans front office and fans are likely seeking more productivity, and less jawing, for the cornerback next season.

Poor Sneed could have spent his money on much more thrilling things in 2024, including a 2024 Corvette ZO6, or perhaps 5 nights in Dubai at the Burj Al Arab. He also could have rented out a luxury suite at Nissan Stadium for all Titans home games, including the three he didn't play in.
