Top 10 Most Frustrated NFL Fanbases

Fact Checked by Thomas Leary

On the heels of a 3-14 campaign that landed them the top pick in next month’s NFL Draft, it’s reasonable to have the blues if you are a football fan in the Music City, as things have not been grand for the Tennessee Titans playoff chances of late.

BetTennessee.com wanted to see what NFL fanbases are the most frustrated with their favorite team over the past few seasons. We created a scoring system factoring in each team’s records and over/under results from the 2022-2024 seasons, along with the online sentiment for each team and their coaching staff. We found the records and over/under data from SportsOddsHistory.com and found the online sentiment from Hootsuite.com.

Where Titans Rank

When it comes to fanbase frustration, only one franchise does it as well as the Titans, with Tennessee ranking in a tie with the Chicago Bears as the most frustrating NFL team to cheer for, with both teams posting scores of 72 points apiece based on our metrics.

Across the 32-team league, the Titans managed to outdo other NFL frustration factories like the New York Jets, who posted a total frustration score of 69 points, while the Las Vegas Raiders (60 points), New York Giants (57 points) and Carolina Panthers (56 points) were next in line.

Rounding out our list of NFL frustrating teams for the year were the Jacksonville Jaguars, with 52 points, while the Cleveland Browns (49 points), Houston Texans (48 points) and Arizona Cardinals (47 points) finished off the collective for the season.

All of them were left chasing the Titans, though, as Tennessee managed to pull off a bit of an NFL upset by managing to produce levels of fanbase frustration that other teams could only dream of as the AFC South franchise prepares to try to land a franchise-making player with the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft next month.
