Mike Vrabel Next Team Odds: Where Will Former Titans Coach End Up?

Fact Checked by Thomas Leary

After spending the 2024 league year as a coaching and personnel consultant with the Cleveland Browns, it’s fair to wonder where former Tennessee Titans head coach and All-Pro linebacker Mike Vrabel will go next.

Vrabel’s time in the Music City was mostly one to remember across Tennessee sports betting, with the 14-year NFL linebacker going 54-45 (.545) with the Titans from 2018 to 2023 with three playoff berths during that stretch, including an appearance in the AFC Championship in 2019.

Despite not getting a head coaching position for this current season, many are speculating that Vrabel is at the top of the candidate list for current and potential NFL openings. At BetTennessee.com, we developed exclusive odds predicting where Vrabel will end up after spending a year in Cleveland.

Where Will Mike Vrabel Coach Next?

Our top pick for Vrabel this offseason is to replace Matt Eberflus as the head coach of the Chicago Bears, with +450 odds of the former Titans head coach getting his second gig in the league in the Windy City. Will Vrabel be interested in working with Bears chairman Kevin Warren and GM Ryan Poles? It likely depends on the ceiling Vrabel envisions for former No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams.

If Vrabel is a believer in Williams as a potential Super Bowl-winning quarterback, he'll likely be more than fine with whatever front office structure the Bears settle on.

Throw in four other NFL head coaching openings, in the New York Jets (+500), New Orleans Saints (+550), Cincinnati Bengals (+1400) and New York Giants (+1800) and you have the full list of pro coaching jobs that we could see Vrabel sliding into ahead of the 2025 NFL regular season.

There’s also a distant chance that Vrabel goes home again to take over as the head coach of his alma mater (Ohio State), with current Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day sitting on an inferno of a hot seat after losing to the Michigan Wolverines for a fourth straight season.

Regardless of where he goes next, it seems like a safe bet to assume that Vrabel will be back on the sidelines once again come the fall of 2025, after spending a sabbatical year as a consultant with the Browns in 2024.

Could Patriots Lure Vrabel Back?

One team not on our board for now happens to be the New England Patriots, where Vrabel won 3 Super Bowls as a player and just last year was enshrined into the Patriots Hall of Fame. That induction weekend featured plenty of warm interactions between Vrabel and Pats owner Robert Kraft.

As Kraft's hand-picked successor to Bill Belichick, first-year man Jerod Mayo has struggled, both on the field and at the podium. Should the Pats continue their slide, don't be surprised to see the team rise on the Vrabel board, as Kraft may move off Mayo at the end of the season.
