Across America, it seems that certain states have more interest in the mid-May holiday than others, with locales like Tennessee having among the highest search interest totals of any state in America.
With Mother’s Day is on Sunday, May 12, 2024. In honor of our mothers, BetTennessee.com decided to take a quick break from Tennessee sports betting to find out which U.S. states appreciate their mothers the most.
Using Google Trends, we created a list of most appreciative states based on total search interest scores for the search terms “Mom,” and “Mother’s Day.”

Tennessee Among States With Most Interest In Mother’s Day
Nationally, Tennessee’s search interest score of 162 ranks in a tie with Arkansas for the fifth highest total in America, ranking behind national leaders West Virginia (183 search interest score), Mississippi (182 search interest score), Louisiana (179 search interest score) and Alabama (173 search interest score).
Throw in the states that Tennessee beat out, such as Kentucky and Oklahoma (which tied for the seventh highest search interest score, at 161, Texas (88 search interest score) and Georgia (87 search interest score) and you have the full rundown on the states that care the most about moms this spring.
Whether it be a perfectly planned box of flowers or a DIY special, millions of moms will receive a gift they won’t soon forget come May 12, with those that live in states like Tennessee knowing that their loved ones are taking special care of them on Mother’s Day.
