With ESPN’s College GameDay pulling up stakes in Athens for this weekend’s AP top 25 showdown between third ranked Georgia and No. 7 Tennessee, it’s worth wondering where Rece Davis and company will go a week from Saturday, when Week 13 of the college football season kicks off in earnest.
Right now, the only showdown between highly ranked teams is the clash in The Horseshoe between second ranked Ohio State and No. 8 Indiana, which will be FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff pick for the weekend, while other noteworthy contests include a Big 12 clash between former WAC rivals Arizona State and BYU in Tempe and Army vs. Notre Dame in South Bend.
All year long, BetTennessee.com has our Tennessee sports betting thinking cap on and will update hypothetical odds on which stadium will be lucky enough to host ESPN’s pregame show for Week 13. Here are our best bets on potential week 13 hosts.
Game | Location | Percentage Chance | Odds |
Indiana Hoosiers vs. Ohio State Buckeyes | Columbus, OH | 63.6% | -175 |

Army Black Knights vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish | South Bend, IN | 12.5% | +700 |

Right now, our odds-on leader to land GameDay in Week 13 is that Ohio State-Indiana Big Ten clash, which is of little surprise given the fact that the Buckeyes lay claim to being the most visited college football stadium in GameDay’s rich history, with 23 appearances all time.
That clash of the leaders in the Big Ten standings is listed at -175 to land GameDay next weekend, beating out that ASU-BYU showdown in the Valley and the Army-Notre Dame matchup in South Bend, with each of those contests listed at +700, while Pitt vs. Louisville is the only other option on our odds board, at +1250.
GameDay last visited The Horseshoe on Oct. 21, 2023, when the show was in town to watch Ohio State pull off a 20-12 win over sixth ranked Penn State, while ESPN’s last trip to Tempe was in 2005, when GameDay took in 14th ranked ASU’s 38-28 home loss to top ranked USC.
The show was last in South Bend on Sept. 23, 2023, when Notre Dame lost to Ohio State, 17-14, with GameDay coming to South Bend 11 times between the first ever road trip on Nov. 13, 1993, and that 2023 trip to watch the Irish lose to the Buckeyes.
The last trip to Louisville for GameDay was on Sept. 19, 2020, when the Cardinals lost at home to 17th ranked Miami, 47-34, with the ESPN pregame show making three trips to the Kentucky metropolis between 2016 and 2020.
